Life in the Hot Flash Lane is a midlife blog. Launched in 2018, the blog was created as a place to speak the truth about what life is like once the kids leave home, your metabolism bottoms out and there's a 50+-year-old woman looking back at you from your bathroom mirror.

I encourage and appreciate your thoughts...
But please be respectful at all times. I reserve the right to remove comments of anyone who abuse this privilege.
Be polite, even and especially if you disagree, so that we can maintain a respectful, non-threatening atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts.
Relevant links in the comments leading to additional discussion are encouraged; however, do not leave a comment simply to link back to your website--such comments will be removed.
A valid email address is required for all comments.
Although I will never publish or share your email address, I may contact you via email if a response to your comment is better addressed privately.
Just be nice, ok?
Name calling, bigotry and personal attacks are not allowed.
Comments should be on-topic and not spam-like. Commenters who leave spam on HFL will have their comments removed and may be banned.
