Advice to Myself

Leave the dishes. Let the celery rot in the bottom drawer of the refrigerator
and an earthen scum harden on the kitchen floor. Leave the black crumbs in the bottom of the toaster.

I just returned from an incredible Celebrate Your Life weekend with Liz Gilbert and Martha Beck. A weekend I shared with over 600 energetic, inspiring and courageous women who opened up their hearts in a way that I've never experienced in my life.

When I was a kid, we had just one phone in the house. The olive green rotary was attached to the wall in our small kitchen--and this made private phone calls a bit of a challenge. Then my mom discovered the extra, extra long telephone cord at Woolco and my life was transformed.
